i have no idea what to title this blog, life rocks right now, every day is ridiculously fun, and ive been climbing hard and strong when i do. ive found a bunch of cool nooks and crannies around here in southern utah over the last couple weeks, some of which people know about and some of which i think im the only person thats ever been there. We plan to stay in St. George most likely until the snow starts melting in the cascades then ill head back north to go play on the granite in my home mountains. Expect an update with some pictures soon. For now though i have to go back to the fantastic weather here in southern utah and go get more climbing in, ROUGH LIFE AM I RITE

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes...
Im back to feeling 100% very thankful that injuring my knee wasnt nearly as bad as first thought and only left me out of commission for about 5 days. Back in St. George now, weather is nice, grounds a bit wet still although its nothing to bad. Looking forward to climbing again soon but im definitely feeling quite lazy today haha.

way to go zach
so i was hiking in waterholes canyon yesterday and saw a neat little v2ish traverse. so i started climbing it with my backpack on (30 pound load) and my hiking boots. somewhere along the line i forgot how to climb and slipped off the super sandy stone. Having my camera in my backpack i didnt really wanna deck straight on my back but my momentum was kind of carrying me there. thankfully i didnt land on my camera. unthankfully i did land with my left leg bent all ridiculous. it felt find directly afterwards and for the rest of the 5 or so miles hiking up the rest of the canyon. Upon finishing the canyon and heading back though my ankle started hurting quite a bit and only got worse as i kept walking. Im guessing its just sprained/strained but the 12 or so miles i put on it afterwards has left me unable to walk on it today. If it bends at all its pretty terrible pain. Heres hoping this recovers quick

Page, Arizona
what more can i say about this place but SLOT CANYONS. man they are so awesome and ive been so busy exploring them and other amazing things around here i havent really gotten around to updating this blog. if you ever have the chance to make it to Page in the offseason i suggest you take it. There is so much shit to do around here, and in the winter there is NO ONE HERE. ill try and post some more in depth stuff over the next couple days but for now i must go run free along the countryside some more BYE NOW. Heres a couple shots from middle water holes canyon, this canyon is about 5 miles south of page, very similar to the overly photographed antelope canyon, and there is basically never anyone there. WIN WIN
